Information
Privacy policy
This page explains what details we collect through this website, why we collect them and what we do with them.
Who we are
Vancouver Auto Parts runs parts counters and repair shops in Surrey, Vancouver and Port Moody, British Columbia. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Vancouver Auto Parts.
British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act sets the rules for how businesses like ours handle personal information.
What we collect
We collect the details you choose to give us. When you send a form on this site, that is your name, your phone number, your email address if you add it, your vehicle details and what you tell us about the problem or the part you need.
When you call or email a shop, we get your phone number or email address and whatever you tell us.
We ask for your phone number so the shop can reach you about your request.
How we use your details
We use your details to reply to you, to book your car in, to find your part, to do the work and to keep a record of it. We don’t sell your details. We don’t use them to send you marketing unless you ask us to.
Who we share them with
Your request goes to the shop you picked. We may use outside companies to run this website and to deliver form messages and email. They handle your details only to do that job for us. We may also share details when the law requires it.
What stays on your device
When you pick “your shop”, your browser saves that choice on your own device so the site can show the right phone number next time. That choice is not sent to us. Clear your browser data to remove it.
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep your details
We keep request and service details for as long as we need them to help you and to meet our legal duties. After that, we delete them or make them anonymous.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you. You can also ask us to correct it. Email info@vapautoparts.ca or call your shop.
If you aren’t happy with how we handle your information, please tell us first so we can try to fix it. You can also contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
Updates to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the bottom of this page shows when it was last updated.
